LUKOIL has awarded BNP Paribas bank as the main bank to support LUKOIL’s subsidiaries in Bulgaria providing the whole range of liquidity management services.

Vladimir Putin, President of Russian Federation, presented “For merits before Fatherland” order of IV degree to Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL, in Kremlin today. The head of the Company was distinguished with the high state award for a big contribution into the development of the fuel-energy complex.

The Company’s project – “Organization of an effective insurance protection as an element of industrial risks management: practical experience of OAO LUKOIL” – was awarded the winner in the “Best project in the insurance protection development sphere” nomination.

The agenda of the session had the following issues: company’s activity in Timan-Pechora region, principals of the drafts of the plan, budget and investment program of LUKOIL Group for 2006 and the Group medium-term development plan for 2006-2008, LUKOIL gas sector long-term development program.

October 18, 2005 the Alberta Province Court (Canada) postponed a transaction approval of PetroKazakhstan (PKZ) assets acquisition by CNPC until October 26, 2005 in accordance with LUKOIL claim concerning its preemption right recognition to purchase a share in Turgai Petroleum – a joint venture of LUKOIL and PKZ. The parties were supposed to negotiate on this matter.
