24/05/2004 - OAO LUKOIL BOARD OF DIRECTORS APPROVES 2003 ANNUAL REPORT

In compliance with the Federal Law of the Russian Federation on Joint Stock Companies and the Company Charter, OAO LUKOIL (“LUKOIL” or “the Company”) Board of Directors gave its tentative approval to the 2003 Annual Report at its session in Bucharest (Romania) today. The report was recommended for approval by the Annual General Sharehlders Meeting (“AGSM”) to be held on June 24, 2004.

13/05/2004 - PRELIMINARY OPERATING DATA OF LUKOIL FOR 1Q 2004

Volumes of oil produced by entities, forming the Company’s consolidated financial results ( subsidiary companies and LUKOIL’s share in equity companies ) totaled in the first quarter of 2004 20,97 mln tons, which is 9,1% more than in the same period of 2003.

12/05/2004 - LUKOIL SIGNS COOPERATION AGREEMENT WITH INTERNATIONAL AND RUSSIAN TRADE UNIONS

Vagit Alekperov, President of OAO LUKOIL, Fred Higgs, Secretary General of the International Federation of Chemical, Energy, Mine and General Workers’ Unions (ICEM) and Lev Mironov, Chairman of Russian Oil, Gas and Construction Workers Union signed a cooperation agreement in Moscow today.

29/04/2004 - LUKOIL STARTS FUELLING LUFTHANSA JETS

LUKOIL was the first among Russian oil companies and airfield services of the Russian civil aviation to fuel a Lufthansa (Germany) plane with Jet A-1 fuel produced by the Company.

26/04/2004 - GLOBAL FINANCE NAMED LUKOIL BEST OIL AND GAS COMPANY OF RUSSIA

According to the results of the ranking conducted by the US magazine Global Finance OAO LUKOIL was named best oil and gas company of Russia.

25/04/2004 - OAO LUKOIL BOARD OF DIRECTORS REVIEWS COMPANY PLANS AND ACHIEVEMENTS IN KAZAKHSTAN AND THE CASPIAN AND RESOLVES TO HOLD ANNUAL GENERAL SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

A meeting of OAO LUKOIL Board of Directors was held in Astana (the Republic of Kazakhstan) today to review Company’s plans and achievements in Kazakhstan and the Caspian region. The Board also resolved to hold an Annual General Shareholders Meeting.

22/04/2004 - LUKOIL AND ST. PETERSBURG GOVERNMENT OUTLINE COOPERATION PROSPECTS

A cooperation agreement between OAO LUKOIL and the Government of St. Petersburg was signed by Governor Valentina Matviyenko and LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov in St. Petersburg on April 22.

20/04/2004 - OAO LUKOIL’S PROVED RESERVES EXCEED 20 BILLION BARRELS OF OIL EQUIVALENT

OAO LUKOIL has completed an evaluation and independent audit of its oil and gas reserves as at January 1, 2004. In terms of proved oil and gas reserves the Company continues to hold leading positions in the world: it is ranked first among Russian oil companies and second among international oil and gas majors after ExxonMobil.

A meeting between Islam Karimov, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Vagit Alekperov, President of LUKOIL was held in Moscow today. The meeting was organized in the framework of Mr. Karimov’s visit to Russia on Mr. Putin’s invitation.

16/04/2004 - THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF OAO LUKOIL PASSES RESOLUTIONS ON THE ANNUAL GENERAL SHAREHOLDERS MEETING

The Board of Directors convened in Moscow today and resolved to hold the Annual General Shareholders Meeting of OAO “LUKOIL” on 24 June 2004 at the Company’s headquarters in Moscow.
