18/09/2001 - LUKOIL, FIRST IN RUSSIA, PUTS INTO OPERATION A FLOATING BUNKERING STATION

LUKOIL has put into operation a floating bunkering station, the first of a kind in Russia, which is intended for small-sized fleet, in particular, motor-launches, yachts and small fishing boats. The station was designed against the Company's order in the Astrakhan central design office and built at the Astrakhan Shipyard.

Joint expression of interest for a participation as Strategic Investors in Hellenic Petroleum Company (ELPE), was submitted by LUKOIL and Latsis Group of Companies in the ratio of 2/3 to 1/3 respectively, to acquire a 30% share in ELPE.

The company "LUKOIL Overseas Holding Limited" (a 100% subsidiary of Open Joint Stock Company "LUKOIL") and the company SOCO International PLC have reached an agreement according to which LUKOIL Overseas shall buy from SOCO its share (50 %) in Limited Liability Company "Permtex".
