27/03/2001 - LUKOIL BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO DISCUSS THE CASPIAN SEA DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AND OVERSEAS PROJECTS PERSPECTIVES

Today in Baku (the Republic of Azerbaijan) LUKOIL Board of Directors held a meeting which considered development of the Company's oil and gas projects in the Caspian Sea and perspectives of oil refining and oil product distribution at international markets.

The Board of Directors of OAO LUKOIL has adopted the 1999 and 1998 consolidated financial statements of over 380 subsidiaries and affiliates prepared in accordance with United States Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP). The international audit firm KPMG audited the 1999 and 1998 consolidated financial statements and issued an unqualified audit opinion for these reporting periods.

16/02/2001 - LUKOIL TO DEVELOP TRANSPORTATION INFRASTRUCTURE

Today at the Admiralty Shipyards in St. Petersburg a new ice-going tanker Kaliningrad was handed over to LUKOIL tanker fleet. The keel-watering ceremony took place on August 15, 2000 and for half a year the tanker passed sea and dockside trials in accordance with its service conditions.

15/02/2001 - LUKOIL ENHANCES ITS ACTIVITIES IN RUSSIA'S NORTH WEST

Today LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov spoke at an International Conference "Investments in 2001: New Realities - New Opportunities of Russia's North West" which was held in St. Petersburg. In his presentation he stressed that the Company was regarding the North Western federal region as the most promising region in Russia of a high strategic importance. Within 10 years LUKOIL plans to invest no less than RUB130bn in the region.

14/02/2001 - LUKOIL TO SIGN COOPERATION AGREEMENTS WITH THE ADMINISTRATIONS OF KRASNODAR AND STAVROPOL REGIONS

LUKOIL President Vagit Alekperov and Head of Krasnodar region administration Alexander Tkachev signed a cooperation agreement in Krasnodar today. A similar agreement was signed with the administration of Stavropol region by Vagit Alekperov and Governor of Stavropol region Alexander Chernogorov in Stavropol on February 13.
