The VII LUKOIL Spartakiad (a sports and athletic contest) took place today in the city of Nizhny Novgorod. The final competitions involved about 400 sportsmen from 22 to 66 years old. ​189 medals in nine disciplines were awarded personally by the President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov.

Head of LUKOIL inspected construction site of a new sports centre that is currently being built under the Cooperation Agreement between LUKOIL and Yugra government. The new facility will be able to accommodate two thousand persons a day and is set for opening this autumn under the auspices of LUKOIL's 30th anniversary celebrations.​

Vagit Alekperov arrived today in the city of Langepas (Yugra region, Russia) - one of the founding citie​s where LUKOIL’s history began. He​ inspected the facilities that had been constructed and reconstructed with the Company’s support. 

​LUKOIL and Yugra region signed an additional social and economic cooperation agreement, which provides for continuing construction of a branch of Perm National Research Polytechnic University, construction of a sport​s complex and a number of other infrastructure projects.

​Vagit Alekperov and Head of the Republic of Komi discussed main areas of social and economic cooperation, as well as environmental issues. They also attended the opening ceremony of a sports and health centre in Yarega and residential buildings, built under the cooperation agreement between LUKOIL and regional government.

​LUKOIL will join the exploration and production project on the Al-Farabi block in the Kazakhstan Sector of the Caspian Sea with 49,99% stake. Sale and Purchase agreemnet was suigned today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.

President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and Governor of the Tula region Alexei Dyumin met today at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum to sign a Cooperation Agreement. The Company will supply advanced petroleum asphalts, polymer-bitumen binders, bitumen emulsions, as well as other bitumen-based materials for road construction in the region.
