Vagit Alekperov, the President of LUKOIL, and Alexei Miller, the BoD Chairman of Gazprom, signed a general agreement today in Moscow on strategic partnership for the period from 2005 to 2014.

LUKOIL-Finland (member of LUKOIL Group) signed a purchase and sale agreement for shares of Oy Teboil Ab and Suomen Petrooli Oy, incorporated in Finland, and consequently secured sole control over the two companies. The amount of the transaction was USD 160 million. The concentration was approved by the European Commission.

The Management Committee of LUKOIL approved the acquisition by LUKOIL-Western Siberia, a 100% subsidiary of LUKOIL, of registered ordinary and preferred shares of the Russian Innovation, Fuel and Energy Company (RITEK) in the amount of 5% from the total number of shares.

LUKOIL Downstream Hungary, member of LUKOIL Group, has acquired 15 retail petrol service stations from Austrian ABA. Due to the acquisition, the number of outlets currently owned by the Company reached 26, which slightly exceeds a 3% share of the Hungarian retail petrol market. The filling stations are situated on the main highways in the East and South-West of Hungary.

Yesterday, Ravil Maganov, First Vice-president of LUKOIL, and Boris Kutychkin, ZAO Arktikshelfneftegaz Director General, signed Protocol of intentions on possible joint participation of the companies in building an infrastructure for export of oil from the fields being in the use of the Parties.

Vagit Alekperov, President of OAO LUKOIL, met today in Moscow with Timur Kulibayev, AO KazMunaiGaz National Company first vice-president, to sign the constituent documents of OOO Caspian Oil and Gas Company, a joint venture for development of the Khvalynskoye field (Caspian Sea) as well as transportation and sales of hydrocarbons and refinery products.

LUKOIL was announced today the successful bidder for signing a two year rent agreement for thirty plots for documentation development and feasibility analysis of retail petrol service stations construction in Saint-Petersburg.
