​​President of LUKOIL Vagit Alekperov and the Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, Alexey Orlov, signed a Protocol to the Cooperation Agreement between the company and the region for 2019​. The protocol envisages reconstruction and re-equipment of the concert and cinema halls in Elista, renovation of several public facilities and involvement of the company in holding the contest of its Social and Cultural Projects.​

The fake letters with offers to purchase petroleum products, illegally bearing the company's trademarks and brand identity, are distributed on behalf of the General Director of LUKOIL's refinery in the city of Nizhny Novgorod. Drilling of new production wells has started​ at West Qurna-2 field as part of the second development phase. 54 wells at Mishrif formation and 3 wells at Yamama formation will ramp up production at the field in accordance with recent contacts.

In 2018 LUKOIL Group's average hydrocarbon production excluding West Qurna-2 project was 2,319 thousand boe per day, which is 3.8% higher year-on-year. In the fourth quarter of 2018 production increased by 1.9% quarter-on-quarter and averaged 2,371 thousand boe per day.
